How Many Ways Can You Catch a Fly?

How Many Ways Can You Catch a Fly?
By Steve Jenkins and Robin Page
2008

There are many different ways to catch a fly...depending on what time of creature you are. Frogs aren't the only ones to enjoy a fly now and then. Rainbow trout, slender lorises, assassin bugs, and even chimney swifts can catch them too. This text shows just how different predators try to accomplish this, and how the flies do what they do best to try and escape.

This book is made up mostly of expository text throughout the body, with additional fact pages at the back of the book. It includes text features such as bold words for important vocabulary, as well as the pronunciation for these words. The format is such that the author's voice is invisible.

Steve Jenkins' signature illustrations help to capture the reader's attention, just as the creatures catch the flies. They also help to grab a hold of the interest of children and adults alike.
